As you can see by the picture below, the little elf town is very quiet, due to the difficulty we have now with the virus.  We are all staying in.  However, that doesn’t mean we don’t have plans. As of now, we have learned the Community Center has reopened; though, only for selected programs.  The state's official forecast for when school can start will be announced by the govenor in early August. However, because of the current state of the Pandemic, we have had to postpone the entirety of our summer classes.

The Good News is that apparently the schools will reopen on a limited basis this Fall.  We are awaiting details.  However, I have leaerned through my sources, in speculation, that students will attend school twice a week. On half of our students coming on Monday and Tuesday and the other half on Thursday and Friday.  We will all wear masks of course.  Our snacks and lunch will be at our desks in our classrooms to keep our social distancing.

That means at least partially our Fall Monday art programs at the Community Center will restart.  The Fall catalog will feature our usual cartooning seminar (9/21-11/9), followed by a new offering of the basics of graphic novels (11/16-12/21).  (Still to be determined is if we will have limited class sizes.)  We will have a complete set of new art markers and paints and of course, our fridge will be stocked again with our favorite snacks, and of course our drinks, and dessert.  Also, on the agenda, will be your report cards.  (For an example of a previous report card see our report card page.)  As usual, all students will be graded on drawing their favorite pictures, eating their fair share of biscuits, and making friends. So far everyone has gotten an A+ in every subject.

In the mean time, we are making a new staycation kit for you.  I hope you have all had a chance to get your first edition at the Community Center.  I am putting together the second set of supplies now and you should be able to pick yours up by the first week of August (new information).  The office will send out an e-mail message when they are ready.

Please send us a e-mail message about what art supplies you would like in out next Art Kit.
