Spring-Fall 2021 Programs!

Our programs hopefully will follow the descriptions we have below if we can expect a pre-pandemic situation.

101:

September - November  (no class Indigeous People Day):  A perfect complement to your fall schedule (regular school or not):  designing and drawing your favorite cartoon characters.  We will learn the same traditional techniques with the same kind of pencils, pens, markers, and paints that professionals use in cartoons and animated movies.  All materials will be supplied along with a nutritious afternoon snack.

The Basics of the Graphic Novel

November -December:  We will design and draw a Graphic Novel learning how to create characters, designing their houses, cars and landscapes.   In addition, we will address page lay-out:  Every graphic novelist has to decide how to put pictures on a page in an interesting composition with a variety of speech bubbles. We will study how the best artists do it, then choose our own solutions.  All materials will be provided along with a delicious afternoon snack.
